Trekking

Trekking
Trek with your own Alpaca through the Co.Louth countryside. Our alpacs are very good company and have a relaxing effect on people.
Our trekking experience lasts up to 2 hours. We begin with a brief chat about the boys and how to handle them, we then halter them up and pair you up ( they all have different personalities so we try to match people with the most suitable alpaca). The walk itself is about 40 mins to 1 hr depending on the boy’s mood. Please remember that the walk may be uneven and suitable footwear and clothing must be worn and an average level of fitness is required. We finish the experience by returning the boys to their paddock and hand feeding them some treats. There will be lots of photo opportunities throughout the experience.
Children under 12 cannot lead an on their own but can share with an accompanying adult.
When your trek is over we invite you to meet some of the other residents on our farm and offer you full use of our covered picnic area.
Farm Visit
Visit our alpacas at the farm, great for those too young or unable to do the trek. There will be a short talk from one of our alpaca handlers where you learn about these incredible animals, plus hand feeding and lots of photo opportunities. We advise that children are supervised by an adult while on the farm. Also you will get to meet our other residents on the farm and full use of our covered picnic area.
Weddings
Add the wow factor to your wedding by inviting alpacas as your special quests.
They can be as involved as wish the only limit is your imagination.
We can bring two of our boys dressed in the best bow ties with two alpaca handlers to your venue where they will keep your quests entertained while the bridal party get their photos taken. The boys are only too happy to be in whatever photos you require and also allow quests to get selfies with them. They love the camera.
